Our Story

Meet the crew behind Orlando's sturdiest roofs.

Summit Peak Roofing was founded in 1999 by Marcus Hale, a third-generation roofer who learned the trade from his grandfather in the panhandle. What started as a two-man operation is now a 40-person team — but the philosophy hasn't changed: do honest work, use the best materials, and treat every roof like it's on your own home.

Today, Marcus leads alongside his daughter Elena, a UF civil engineering grad who runs our inspections and commercial division. Every crew member is factory-trained and certified, and we invest in continuing education every year to stay ahead of Florida's building codes.

Questions & Answers

Frequently asked questions

How much does a new roof cost in Orlando?

Most asphalt shingle replacements in the Orlando area run between $7,500 and $15,000 depending on roof size, pitch, and material choice. Tile and metal run higher. We provide a free, itemized estimate so you know exactly what you're paying for — no vague allowances.

How long does a roof replacement take?

Most residential roofs are completed in 1–3 days. Larger or more complex roofs (tile, steep pitch, multiple valleys) may take longer. We give you a firm timeline before we start and stick to it.

Do you work with insurance companies?

Absolutely. We handle storm and hurricane claims regularly — we'll meet your adjuster on site, provide detailed documentation, and help you navigate the entire claims process from start to finish.

What does the 5-year workmanship warranty cover?

Our workmanship warranty covers any installation-related issues — leaks, flashing failures, lifted shingles — for 5 full years. Material warranties are separate and provided by the manufacturer, often 20–50 years depending on the product.

Do you offer emergency tarping?

Yes — we offer 24/7 emergency tarping and temporary repairs throughout Greater Orlando. If your roof is actively leaking or damaged in a storm, call (407) 555-0173 any time, day or night.
